Baby steps man, Baby steps!

I listened to just about everyone that would offer advice when I first starting thinking seriously about tracking BFP.   The most consistent advice I received was to “take it slow” and “change one thing at a time”.   Fantastic advice!  Hard to follow, but fantastic advice!

After the first outing in pure stock form, my next course of action was to replace the stock tires with better street tires, replaced the brake fluid with DOT4 and got some upgraded street pads to replace the stock brake pads.

I actually tested several different tires and brake pads.  At that point, the BFG T/A KDW tire was a pretty good street tire that actually did quite well on the track.   The EBC Red Stuff and Yellow Stuff brake pads were among my favorites.  But more on tires and brakes later.

Shortly after you start tracking a new car, your thoughts SHOULD turn to safety – otherwise you are either not paying attention.
